Our Mission
ZipLove brings singles together for authentic, in-person connections through local events. Whether you're looking for love, friendship, or community, we're committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone.

Community Standards
1. Be Authentic
Do:
- Use real, recent photos of yourself
- Provide accurate information in your profile
- Be honest about your intentions (dating, friendship, or both)
- Represent yourself truthfully at events
Don't:
- Use photos of other people or celebrities
- Misrepresent your age, relationship status, or identity
- Catfish or deceive other members
- Create fake profiles or impersonate others
2. Be Respectful
Do:
- Treat all members with respect and courtesy
- Respect people's boundaries and personal space
- Accept rejection gracefully
- Communicate clearly and honestly
- Respect event venue staff and other attendees
Don't:
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other members
- Send unwanted explicit messages or images
- Pressure anyone for personal information or contact details
- Make discriminatory, racist, sexist, or hateful comments
- Stalk, follow, or contact someone who has blocked you
3. Be Safe
Do:
- Meet in public places (which is built into our event model!)
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going
- Trust your instincts - if something feels wrong, leave
- Report suspicious behavior or safety concerns immediately
- Keep personal information (address, workplace details) private until you feel comfortable
- Watch your drink and never leave it unattended
- Arrange your own transportation to and from events
Don't:
- Share your home address or workplace with people you just met
- Feel pressured to leave an event with someone you don't know well
- Accept rides from people you just met
- Share financial information or send money to other users
- Ignore red flags or concerning behavior
4. Protect Privacy
Do:
- Respect others' privacy and personal information
- Ask before taking or sharing photos of other attendees
- Keep conversations private and confidential
- Report privacy violations to ZipLove
Don't:
- Share other users' personal information without consent
- Screenshot or share private messages
- Post photos or videos of others without their permission
- Dox or expose personal information about other members
- Share intimate photos or videos of others (this is illegal)
Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors will result in immediate account suspension or termination:
Absolutely Not Tolerated:
- Sexual Harassment or Assault
- Any form of sexual harassment, assault, or non-consensual behavior
- Sending unsolicited explicit photos, videos, or messages
- Making unwanted sexual advances or comments
- Violence or Threats
- Threats of violence against any person
- Promoting or encouraging violence
- Physical violence at events or elsewhere
- Illegal Activity
- Selling or promoting illegal drugs
- Prostitution or solicitation
- Human trafficking
- Any criminal activity
- Scams and Fraud
- Financial scams or fraud
- Catfishing or impersonation
- Promoting pyramid schemes or get-rich-quick schemes
- Requesting money from other users
- Hate Speech and Discrimination
- Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or other discriminatory content
- Hate speech or symbols
- Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Minors
- Users under 21 are not permitted on ZipLove
- Sexual content involving minors
- Attempting to contact or meet minors
- Spam and Commercial Activity
- Spamming users with messages or requests
- Promoting businesses, products, or services unrelated to genuine connections
- Using ZipLove for commercial solicitation
- Multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes
- Nudity and Sexual Content
- Nude or sexually explicit photos in profiles
- Pornographic content
- Sexually explicit conversations (ZipLove is for meeting in person, not sexting)
- Fake Accounts and Bots
- Creating fake profiles or bot accounts
- Operating multiple accounts
- Impersonating others
- Harmful Behavior
- Self-harm or suicide content
- Encouraging eating disorders or self-destructive behavior
- Sharing graphic violence or disturbing content
Event-Specific Guidelines
At ZipLove Events:
Do:
- Arrive on time and respect the venue
- Be open to meeting new people
- Follow venue rules and respect staff
- Drink responsibly if alcohol is served
- Be inclusive - introduce yourself to people who seem alone
- Give accurate RSVPs and show up if you commit
Don't:
- Arrive intoxicated or use illegal substances
- Be disruptive or create disturbances
- Monopolize someone's time if they're not interested
- Bring uninvited guests without venue permission
- Damage venue property
- No-show repeatedly without canceling (3 no-shows = account review)
For Businesses Hosting Events:
Do:
- Provide a safe, welcoming environment
- Follow all ZipLove event guidelines
- Treat all attendees with respect
- Report any incidents to ZipLove immediately
- Maintain appropriate capacity limits
Don't:
- Discriminate against attendees
- Overcharge or engage in price gouging
- Pressure attendees to purchase excessively
- Share attendee information with third parties
- Host events that don't match their description
Reporting and Enforcement
How to Report
If you experience or witness behavior that violates these guidelines:
- In-App Reporting: Use the "Report" button on any profile or message
- Email: Report serious concerns to safety@ziplove.org
- Emergency: If you're in immediate danger, call 911 first, then report to us
What to Report
- Harassment or threatening behavior
- Fake profiles or catfishing
- Scams or fraud attempts
- Inappropriate sexual content
- Safety concerns at events
- Any violation of these Community Guidelines
What We'll Do
We take all reports seriously and will:
- Review reports within 24 hours (urgent safety issues within 2 hours)
- Investigate thoroughly and fairly
- Take appropriate action, which may include:
- Warning the user
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent ban
- Reporting to law enforcement if illegal activity is involved
- Protect your privacy during the investigation
- Follow up with you on the outcome when appropriate
Consequences for Violations
Minor Violations:
- First offense: Warning and education
- Second offense: Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
- Third offense: Permanent ban
Major Violations:
- Immediate permanent ban
- Report to law enforcement if applicable
- Removal from all events
- No refunds for subscriptions or event fees
Your Rights
You Have the Right To:
- Feel safe on ZipLove and at events
- Block or report any user
- Leave any event at any time
- Decline unwanted contact or advances
- Have your reports taken seriously
- Privacy and confidentiality
- Appeal account actions you believe were made in error
We Will Never:
- Force you to interact with anyone
- Share your personal information without consent
- Ignore safety reports
- Retaliate against users who report violations
- Tolerate harassment or discrimination
Appeals Process
If you believe your account was suspended or banned in error:
- Email appeals@ziplove.org within 30 days
- Include your username and explanation
- We'll review within 7 business days
- Our decision after review is final
Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as ZipLove grows and evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes via:
- In-app notification
- Email to your registered address
- Notice on our website
Continued use of ZipLove after changes means you accept the updated guidelines.
